Question: My Kia minivan is idling rough after plugs & wires were changed?

Answer to the above question:

  Mark (2/1/2010 7:45:40 PM)
Answer: I was having some issues with my van. The code popped "cylinder 4 misfire". After some research, I opted to change the plugs and wires. I also wanted to change out the upper manifold (plenum) gasket, but none of the parts stores had them in stock before I had help for the job. The complication of this job was the rear plugs were underneath the manifold and it had to be dismantled in order to change them out. It was a total pain. The engine was misfiring before. It was considerably worse when it was raining and when I was drawing too much power (running heat and accelerating quickly). That problem is gone. The idle is very rough.
