Comment: I had my car stolen recently, the person who did it was caught and charged with theft. Now my insurance company demands that I pay my deductible because car needs to be fixed. Is this true that the deductible has to be paid in this case. I don't see how any of this was my fault and why I would have to pay anything out of my own packet.

  From: Seba (11/7/2006 7:08:46 PM)
Comment: I think it depends on your insurance company, but since 2002 laws changed and unfortunately insurance companies have the right to charge you deductible.

From: pc guy (4/27/2007 3:27:10 AM)
Comment: I just got off the phone with pc insturance, yes they offered me a great insurance rate, I have to pay some penalties for leaving my current insurance company which I will do, I will save over $50 on my monthly payments.

From: Manoj Agrawal (7/14/2007 9:37:10 PM)
Comment: I m already paying less than what PC quoted for the same coverage

  From: robert (3/2/2008 10:53:05 AM)
Comment: My pc quote turned out to be 100 bucks more a month than what I am paying right now, and I am already an existing customer for them. I have been with state farm for many years I guess they are not so bad after all.

  From: Aaron (4/13/2008 9:50:01 AM)
Comment: Pc Insurance wanted $1000.00 more per year than the company I am going with for the same coverage, they’re saying” Paying to much for auto insurance" doesn't mean anything.

  From: lok (4/21/2008 2:20:17 PM)
Comment: could you tell me which is good insurance company?

  From: Gideon (9/14/2009 3:31:33 PM)
Comment: Update: Pc doesn't offer any auto insurance at this time.

  From: Katbean (10/6/2009 2:27:25 PM)
Comment: PC insurance - their rates are not competitive at all.

From: da bull (11/5/2009 12:20:24 PM)
Comment: If you can get group insurance through work you can save 20-25%. The Personal does group policies and was very cheap.

  From: tony d (12/31/2009 1:04:45 AM)
Comment: been with PC for the past 4 years. Clean record. Today i get my renewal and my 2 vehicles jumped from $3200 pre year to $6556 per year. Called them. They no longer are underwrited by Scottish York so that would be best price. No other explanation was given.

  From: Thomas (2/9/2010 5:49:08 PM)
Comment: I'm with TD and I'm extremely happy with the service. I don't know how they compare in terms of pricing, but as far as i'm concerned service is what matters most when you shop for insurance

  From: Paul (3/8/2010 12:58:57 AM)
Comment: TD Insurance rates are ridiculous, you are probably paying double. My wife is a perfect driver, and I am a bad driver, my insurance is less than hers with td

  From: eugene (4/2/2010 10:12:09 AM)
Comment: Just got my renewal for 2 cars/2 drivers from Belair - it went up from 2,938 to 3,888 with no reason. Called them up - they saying it's just overall price increase .. Nothing personal.

  From: Mary (4/5/2010 8:48:54 AM)
Comment: I am an Insurance broker and I can find you very attractive rate available. I have access to more than 20 insurance companies. If you are interested and want to get a free quote please call me at 416-836-7131 ( Mary ) You won't be disappointed.

  From: Mitchell (5/10/2010 7:52:10 AM)
Comment: I am a Canadian working who has been in the US for 10 year. I am looking to go back to live in Can and started looking at some car insurance rates. It is crazy how expensive Can. prices are. I am paying $109 for full coverage on a Benz and I’m being asked to pay almost double that. Mary, do you have an email address? I also have an extended warranty with my car...should I keep it?? Any suggestions. Thx

  From: Roy (5/11/2010 5:13:46 PM)
Comment: Hey I'm a student at university and just got my g2 and have never owned a car before is gettting a third party insurance a good idea ... I'm looking for something really cheap

  From: SHANNON (5/19/2010 3:48:49 PM)
Comment: I am originally under my spouses insurance with The Personal as an occasional driver. I am now looking for my own car insurance but am totally lost on where to start does anyone have some ideas of which one would be better. I got my own quote with The Personal but felt I could probably find better

  From: anonyemous (5/20/2010 8:55:52 PM)
Comment: So far TD is giving me the cheapest quote. Mine went up this year from 2500 to 2900. I'm a fairly new driver (have my G2 for one year), but why would it go up with no tickets or infractions? I called and they said it's just an overall price increase in Ontario. But I guess it's what I'm stuck with since the online quotes are quoting me 4-7k!

From: one god (5/31/2010 7:00:01 PM)
  Comment: state farm is good.

  From: Veer (6/3/2010 9:40:01 AM)
Comment: Statefarm just doubled my car insurance from 150 to 300. This is insane. I got a quote from Belair, and they are so far the best with $168.

  From: Summer (7/3/2010 3:09:31 PM)
Comment: I am currently with PC Insurance and I just received notice that my rates are going up $600. I have never made any claims or had any traffic tickets. I just got an online quote from Desjardins that beats all the other insurance companies $1300/yr.

  From: why (7/6/2010 10:48:44 AM)
Comment: I also called belairdirect and they told me my insurance is going up this month from 198 to 240 because they are being too generous and their claims went up, nothing personal as well. I am looking for another provider something cheap as well.. i did online quote at kanetix and td and they are much more expensive! :(

  From: Andrea (7/6/2010 11:56:50 AM)
Comment: belair just raised my permium from $949 to $1433 per year. I have had my own car and insurance for 15 years, no claims, no tickets, perfect record. And that's for liability only!! This is a 50% increase! I called and, of course, no explanation - they attribute it to an overall rate increase. The rep did say that my increase is much higher than the average he has been seeing (20-30%), but said there was nothing he could do. I am astounded. I will give up my car at that rate.

  From: ItsTheLaw (7/26/2010 11:19:22 AM)
Comment: Insurance Companies charge as much as they want because by law you have to have insurance. If you don't want pay, drive without it and hope not to get caught:) For many people it is worth the risk

  From: Paul (8/3/2010 7:57:47 PM)
Comment: Most auto rates are going up because our idiotic provincial government mandated to the insurance companies to let customers have more control over coverage. The insurance companies are replying to this by raising rates across the board so when you ditch all the "hit by a rhino during an earthquake" coverage they sneak in to your policy it will have zero impact on the dark masters bottom line.

  From: Navtej (8/24/2010 3:34:43 PM)
Comment: Tony D you are right I was with PC (Scottish & York) insurance was excellent but suddenly they doubled although I never claimed even once in 10 years. I will leave them.
